Fresh from powering BHS Crew to strong finishes at this year’s Youth Nationals competition, rising seniors Elisa Forbes and India Robinson were invited to train with crew’s best atheletes for Team USA!
And after three weeks of grueling training (up at 4:45 AM, on the water for 6 hours per day) and living like messy college students at picturesque Connecticut College (dorm rooms, meal cards, laundry), both girls will proudly wear the red white and blue in national and international competetions this summer.
Elisa will cox at the USRowing Club National Championships scheduled for July 15-19, in Bethel, Ohio. She will be “racing up” divisions, to face off against older and much more experienced college-level athletes.
India made the Junior National Team (for the second time in her high-school career) and will be competing at the World Junior Championships on August 5-9 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Go Jackets! Go Team USA!
