Rowers carrying boat down a gangway
The Berkeley High women’s varsity crew team heads down the gangway at Jack London Aquatic Center.

Berkeley High Crew is the varsity rowing team at Berkeley High School.  We strive to compete at the highest level and race against private high schools and clubs in local, regional and national regattas.  Berkeley High Crew is committed to the personal, athletic and academic excellence of all of our rowers and coxswains, as individuals and as members of our team..

The team is open to all Berkeley High students.

Current students can learn how to get involved on our Row for BHS page.  Middle school students are encouraged to participate in one of our Summer Learn-to-Row camps.

Rowing is a highly demanding and fulfilling sport.  From the individual it requires a unique combination of endurance, strength, and skill, while only teams with a shared commitment and sense of purpose are able to maximize their potential.

Top-ranked public and private colleges and universities throughout the country continue to recruit Berkeley High rowers and coxswains to their schools and our alumni consistently succeed in college, both on and off the water.

The team is supported by Berkeley Crew, a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of competitive rowing for all young men and women at Berkeley High School.  Learn more on our Board page.
